I would love to see more tips on using static pole, specifically static spins. I know there are ways to make more momentum, however because I am on the heavier side I tend to not be able to get as much "air time" per say as I would like. Just wondering if it is more of a "technique" or if I would spin more if I weighed less. I'd also love to see more tips on the split/bracket grip.
Hi Angela! It is definitely technique. Have you watched our momentum video in the Beginner Pole Playlist? It is about reaching out and letting your body take you around the pole. People tend to want to force it but that actually works against the momentum. You want to reach out for it and engage the core as much as you can while pulling those shoulder blades down your back to protect your shoulders. Let me know if you want more tips and I am happy to create a video for you!
